7th CIIE recruits buyers in Yunnan Release date: 2024-08-08    Source:China International Import Expo Bureau

Over 100 buyers from Southwest China's Yunnan province attended a roadshow for the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Qujing, Yunnan, on Aug 6.

The roadshow, which aimed at recruiting buyers for the 7th CIIE from the province, was attended by four exhibitors from the Food and Agricultural Products Exhibition Area and four exhibitors from the Intelligent Industry and Information Technology Exhibition Area, including Dole, Goodfarmer Foods, Mitsubishi Electric, and Kärcher. These exhibitors also showcased their flagship products and technologies during the roadshow.

Ge Hong, chief financial officer of the CIIE Bureau, said at the event that this year's expo will continue to include the Comprehensive Country Exhibition, Enterprise and Business Exhibition, Supporting Events and People-to-People Exchanges, with this year's Hongqiao International Economic Forum running concurrently with the expo. He added that he welcomes enterprises from Yunnan to actively participate in this year's expo and seize the opportunities through China's opening-up.

According to Ge, over 50 countries and international organizations have confirmed their participation in this year's Comprehensive Country Exhibition, while the booked exhibition space for the Enterprises and Business Exhibition has exceeded 360,000 square meters.

During the roadshow, the CIIE team introduced the registration procedures for professional visitors and services for participants. Promotion for the Exhibition Areas of the Food and Agricultural Products and Intelligent Industry and Information Technology was also conducted during the event.
