A pre-expo supply-demand matchmaking meeting for the Intelligent Industry and Information Technology Exhibition Area and Automobile Exhibition Area of the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) took place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) on Aug 8.

Thirty-seven exhibitors from two exhibition areas and over 70 buyers from related fields attended the event.

Addressing the attendees, Wu Zhengping, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said that he hopes exhibitors and buyers will connect with each other through the matchmaking event, enhancing the outcome that will be achieved at this year's expo.

According to Wu, preparations for the 7th CIIE have entered the sprint phase, with the recruitment of exhibitors participating in the Enterprise and Business Exhibition mostly completed. Additionally, registration applications are now open to professional visitors and for those looking to hold Supporting Events.

During the event, some exhibitors from the Intelligent Industry and Information Technology Exhibition Area showcased advanced technologies, including the fiber fusion splicer, mixed signal oscilloscope, and laser rangefinder and altimeter. Automobile exhibitors also showcased cutting-edge products and technologies at the event.
