The promotion team for the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) met with representatives from the Dutch equestrian industry in Tilburg, the Netherlands, on Jan 20 to discuss opportunities for the sector to participate in this year's expo.

The meeting was attended by Roland Verbraak, chairman of the Tilburg equestrian association and general manager of BTT Multimodal Group BV, along with representatives from local horse transport vehicle manufacturers, horse feed producers, horse exporters, and equestrian competition organizers. The event was part of the team's efforts to expand exhibition themes during their visit to the Netherlands from Jan 18 to 20.

At the meeting, Ning Feng, president of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), invited Dutch equestrian companies to seize the opportunity and participate in the 8th CIIE, helping the Chinese market become better acquainted with the Netherlands' expertise.

Ning highlighted the growing interest in equestrian sports in China as living standards continue to rise. He said that last year saw the opening of China's first equestrian venue meeting international competition standards in Shanghai, sparking greater interest from both businesses and consumers in the equestrian industry.

Verbraak expressed a strong interest in exporting Dutch equestrian products to China. As both an equestrian association leader and an expert in international logistics, he shared his enthusiasm for the opportunities the CIIE presents. Having attended the 7th CIIE and equestrian-related meetings last year, Verbraak spoke highly of the expo.

The CIIE promotion team also explored other industries with significant potential for the Chinese market. They visited leading companies like Pal-V, a FlyDrive mobility solutions provider, and J. Heemskerk & Zn, a flower bulb nursery, to encourage their participation in the 8th CIIE.
