A special promotional event for the 8th China International Import Expo was held for the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone on March 6. Over 80 attendees from more than 60 enterprises in the free trade zone participated in the event.

Wu Zhengping, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, highlighted the strong support the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Group Co Ltd provided to the CIIE, particularly in industries such as technology equipment, biopharmaceuticals, and cultural artifacts. He anticipated continued collaboration between the CIIE Bureau and the group, inviting enterprises from the Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone to participate in this year's expo.

Yu Yong, chairman of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Group Co Ltd, emphasized that the CIIE is a prominent symbol of China's high-level openness and a platform for global enterprises to access opportunities in China.

Yu shared that over the past seven years, the group has provided services to over 100 exhibitors, and the Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone's eight municipal-level trading service platforms that provide "6+365" year-round services have witnessed the expo's growth and success.

Yu believes that participating in the CIIE offers exhibitors endless opportunities. He assured that the group is committed to supporting smart manufacturing companies and offering comprehensive services, from research and development in bonded zones to customs clearance and logistics.

Representatives from several companies also shared insights, including Jia Guolin, marketing general manager of Shanghai Waigaoqiao International Trading Operation Center Co Ltd, Qiang Huiyun, manager for public relations of Nippon China, and Yan Gang, technical director of Yovole Cloud at Shanghai Yovole Networks Inc.
