Ge Hong, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said that since its inaugural session in 2018, the CIIE has transformed exhibits into marketable goods and exhibitors into investors. It is an increasingly important platform for international procurement, investment promotion, people-to-people exchanges, and open cooperation. It has evolved into a showcase of China's new development paradigm, a platform for high-standard opening-up, and international public goods for the whole world. The eighth CIIE will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. In terms of exhibitions, it will focus on China's key industrial plans, further optimize zone layouts, upgrade the AI experience area, establish a future mobility zone, and showcase emerging fields such as the low-altitude economy. For supply-demand matchmaking, events such as trade and investment matchmaking meetings, key buyer sourcing sessions, and a buyer "corridor" will be organized during the expo. These multi-scenario activities will facilitate precise business connections and boost transactions through diverse measures. He expressed hope that more domestic and overseas enterprises will participate in the CIIE to share the opportunities of China's development.

Participating enterprises said that this event has built an efficient bridge for resource matchmaking, not only helping companies expand market channels but also deepening industry exchanges, creating favorable opportunities for supply and demand to pursue further collaboration.

The meeting was the third pre-expo supply-demand matchmaking meeting held this year. It was hosted by the CIIE Bureau, the NECC (Shanghai) and Bank of China Shanghai Branch.
