Supply-demand matchmaking meeting held in Xinjiang Release date: 2025-08-08    Source:China International Import Expo Bureau

A pre-expo supply-demand matchmaking meeting of the eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held in Yining City, Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, on August 6. The event attracted exhibitors including Lesaffre, Éirekey, Royal Classical Agriculture Ltd, Bacchus Technology Group Co Ltd, Invermar Chile S.A., Borjomi, Wanda Hotels&Resorts and EGO. Over 170 buyers joined the roadshow, establishing ties and laying foundation for future cooperation.

Song Shangzhe from the CIIE Bureau said that the eighth CIIE will be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from November 5 to 10, with all preparatory work steadily advancing. The Corporate Pavilion will further optimize its exhibition zones and special sections, enriching the scope and content of displays to help promote the integrated development of technological innovation and industrial upgrading. Professional visitor registration and applications for side events are now fully open. Efforts will be made to continuously optimize the professional audience composition, enhance precision investment promotion, and elevate the quality of services for registration, exhibition visiting, business negotiations, contract signings, and other activities, providing better on-site services for exhibitors and buyers. The Hongqiao International Economic Forum will continue to feature the main forum and release the World Openness Report 2025 and the latest World Openness Index. Additionally, over 20 parallel sessions, closed meetings, and other events will be organized.

Liu Bo, deputy director-general of Department of Commerce of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, said the Xinjiang Trade Mission will focus on inviting buyers to participate in the CIIE, organizing investment promotion and people-to-people exchange activities during the expo. Leveraging the CIIE's high-level opening-up platform, the mission will promote Xinjiang's advantages in location, resources and industry to both domestic and international exhibitors and buyers, attracting more businesses to invest and start ventures in Xinjiang.

During the event, the CIIE Bureau signed memorandums of cooperation with VIP buyers Horgos Asia-Europe Commodities Hub, Horgos Jin Yi Group, Xinjiang Zhong Mao Grain and Oil, Xinjiang Temaiaolai Supply Chain Management, Xinjiang Zhisheng Aluminium Co Ltd, Kuitun Xinxiya Petrochemical Co Ltd.

After the meeting, the relevant responsible persons of the Department of Commerce of Ili Prefecture hosted a symposium for foreign-funded enterprises in Central Asia. A total of 12 overseas enterprises attended the symposium. The enterprises were briefed on the policies for participating in the CIIE.

The event was hosted by the CIIE Bureau, Department of Commerce of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, ICBC Xinjiang Branch, and the NECC (Shanghai).
