A promotional event for the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held at the Shanghai International Trade Center (SITC) on March 13, attracting nearly 100 attendees from more than 60 companies. Participants included representatives from the Japan External Trade Organization, Mitsubishi Electric, Nishikawa, and Kawasaki Heavy Industries.
Ning Feng, president of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), stated that preparations for the 8th CIIE are progressing steadily. He noted the strong enthusiasm from international exhibitors, which reflects confidence in both China's economic development and the expo itself.
Highlighting SITC as one of the key business hubs for Japanese clients in Shanghai, Ning expressed hope that more Japanese companies will use the CIIE to deepen cooperation with China in areas such as elderly care, technological innovation, and green energy.
During the event, Zhang Yan, president of Donghao Lansheng (Group) Co Ltd, and Akira Komada, brand promotion director of Mitsubishi Electric China, shared insights with attendees. The CIIE staff also provided a detailed overview of the expo's achievements and key exhibition areas while addressing questions from businesses.
