Global auto brands showcase innovations at CIIE Release date: 2022-03-04    Source:China International Import Expo Bureau

Global automotive manufacturers displayed their newest technologies and solutions during the fourth China International Import Expo in Shanghai last November. The expo's automobile exhibition area spanned over 30,000 square meters and was focused on green, innovative, and intelligent technologies.

At the fourth CIIE, US carmaker Ford displayed its City Insights Platform that can harness parking, transit, traffic, safety, and census data to allow planners to visualize a city's entire mobility ecosystem and help solve a variety of mobility issues.

The company has been operating in the Chinese market for more than two decades.

Japanese automaker Toyota debuted its hydrogen fuel cell which is targeted at the Chinese market and displayed its hydrogen fuel cell vehicle Mirai at the fourth CIIE. Toyota was also a sponsor of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

HRC is the only high-performance composite material supplier at the fourth CIIE. The X2, a futuristic "flying car" developed by the company, attracted many visitors at the expo.

French multinational tire manufacturer Michelin showcased its hydrogen fuel cell vehicle MissionH24 at the fourth CIIE. The racing car's hydrogen fuel cells are made by Symbio, a joint venture between Michelin and Faurecia, which is also a French automotive supplier.
