As the world's first national-level expo themed around imports, the China International Import Expo plays a crucial role in the development of Sino-Hungarian economic and trade relations.

Since its inaugural edition in 2018, Hungarian businesses have been participating in the CIIE year after year, showcasing local products and services. Through the CIIE platform, Hungarian products have made their way into Chinese households, while Chinese goods have reached European markets with the assistance of Hungarian trade and logistics companies.

Among the 12 guest countries of honor at the first CIIE, through the years, Hungary and its exhibitors have primarily focused on the food and service trade sectors. During the inaugural expo, major Hungarian dairy producers and wineries signed contracts with Chinese partners. Today, Hungary stands as one of the Central and Eastern European countries with the most permits to export agricultural products to China.

Showcasing at the CIIE each year, the Bock Winery stands out as one of participants from Hungary. The company's general manager acknowledged the expo's role in enhancing the company's visibility in China, stating, "The CIIE has expanded our recognition within the country."

Trade and logistics represent another two key industries for Hungary, prominently featured during the CIIE. Zhu Ruichen, deputy general manager of the Central European Trade and Logistics Cooperation Zone (CECZ) in Budapest, Hungary, views the CIIE as an excellent showcase platform and opportunity for the company. At the sixth CIIE, CECZ exhibited across 108 square meters, engaging with representatives from more than 300 Chinese logistics and trade enterprises, resulting in fruitful business discussions.

With Sino-Hungarian relations advancing to an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership for the new era this year, Hungarian enterprises are increasingly confident about entering the Chinese market. Zhu emphasized, "The upgraded Sino-Hungarian relations are a significant advantage for our business development, particularly in logistics and trade services in China."

Given the deepening comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Hungary, anticipation is mounting for the participation of Hungarian businesses at the CIIE and the stories they will create.
