CIIE Stories丨New Exhibitor's CIIE Debut: Anchoring the Future Release date: 2025-07-16    Source:China International Import Expo Bureau

Despite hearing about the CIIE beforehand, Masashi Aoki, President of Ebara (China) Co., Ltd., was profoundly impressed after experiencing it firsthand. In 2024, the Japanese company Ebara made its debut at the CIIE. "Being immersed in it, I truly felt the potent force, vibrant energy, and boundless cooperation opportunities of this platform," Aoki said.

INFLUENCE EXPERIENCED FIRSTHAND

Established in 2023, Ebara (China) Co., Ltd. decisively appeared at the CIIE just a year after its inception, driven by the immense influence of the CIIE.

Aoki admitted that from the company's inception, they were contemplating how to swiftly enhance their visibility. "After delving deeper into the CIIE, we were convinced that this is the optimal platform."

Making their first appearance, Ebara showcased grandly in a 200-square-meter booth, comprehensively presenting their five core business fields and exhibiting emerging businesses like hydrogen energy for the first time in the Chinese market.

Despite initially participating with the intention to boost visibility, the actual gains far surpassed Aoki's expectations. He stated, "the intense media coverage on-site made me keenly feel the tremendous influence of the CIIE. With high-quality exhibitors and buyers converging, we were able to engage in profound discussions with various government departments, large state-owned enterprises, and other vital partners."

THE UNEXPECTED GAINS

Regarding Ebara's debut at the CIIE, Ma Cong, General Manager of Strategic Planning at Ebara (China) Co., Ltd. still vividly recalls the experience. He admitted being "extremely busy", but behind the busyness lay substantial gains and inspirations.

The gains stemmed from the CIIE acting as a "catalyst" for brand promotion. As a hidden force deeply rooted in the infrastructure sector, Ebara's products seldom entered everyday visibility. The CIIE enabled the name "Ebara" to transcend industry circles, vividly outlining its three-dimensional image as a "comprehensive solution provider" to governments at all levels and the public.

The gains also included the accelerated incubation of fresh business opportunities. As Ma continuously received visitors at the booth, he deeply felt that many new ideas and demands from customers naturally emerged during the communication. This interactive market feedback propelled the iterative process of Ebara's products and services.

The inspirations arose from the timely adjustment of corporate strategies. Both Aoki and Ma believe that for Ebara's first-time participation, the CIIE served as a learning platform. "In the future, our concept will shift from 'what we have' to 'what problems we can solve for customers', transforming cold equipment into concrete urban landscapes and solutions," Aoki remarked.

"NEW ERA, SHARED FUTURE"

The fruitful outcomes of participating in the CIIE have led Ebara to view the expo as a fertile ground for continuous cultivation and an ideal platform for "sharing the future". Just as their debut came to a close, Ebara had already reserved a booth for the next session, expanding its area to 250 square meters.

In Ma's view, companies in today's era need to learn from each other, cooperate, and explore new opportunities and development together, and the CIIE precisely provides this aggregation effect.

"From the perspectives of diversification, globalization, and openness, the CIIE holds a unique appeal," Aoki believes, the CIIE allows access to the most cutting-edge technologies and products across various industries, aiding in efficiently grasping the latest industry trends. It attracts professionals from the political and business sectors worldwide, uncovering new business opportunities through concentrated and efficient communication, and it serves as a forward-looking platform for introducing new technologies into the Chinese market.

At present, Aoki finds the Chinese expression of the CIIE theme "New Era, Shared Future" already very catchy. "This is my biggest insight after attending the CIIE, and it also reflects our company's future vision - to establish roots in China, serve China, grow together, and share the future. That's why I must learn the Chinese translation of this phrase," said Aoki.
