Spanish electric company Simon confident about Chinese market Release date: 2018-10-11

As the China International Import Expo approaches, a group of overseas companies are preparing for the exhibition. Simon, a Spanish electric company, is particularly active at the matchmaking for exhibitors & buyers of consumer electronics and home appliances organized by the China International Import Expo Bureau.

Simon has successfully registered as an exhibitor of the expo, and is involved in a range of activities such as meetings for relevant exhibitors and buyers, roadshows and presentations, and the pre-registration for the next year’s expo.

“Participating in the CIIE demonstrates Simon’s greatest sincerity to the Chinese market, and it will show the company’s most extensive openness at technical level. Simon will officially introduce its leading products and system solutions that have been very mature in the Europe, such as intelligent switch system, lighting control system, smart home system, into the Chinese market during this exhibition, so as to meet the future consumption upgrade in China and the increasing demand of Chinese consumers,” said Zhang Renyu, general manager of Simon’s branch in China.

Zhang, a management-level officer of the Simon Group, said he is grateful to the tremendous support Simon has received in the Chinese market.

“Simon was little known in China when it entered the Chinese market 20 years ago. During the years of development in China, Simon has fully benefited from China’s reform and opening up, the consumption upgrade and the rapid growth of real estate. In the past two decades, many Chinese leading companies have cooperated with Simon. Simon’s products have entered tens of millions of Chinese households. With the increasing popularity of Simon’s products, Chinese consumers have directly or indirectly used Simon’s products,” Zhang said.

“In these years, Simon saw a compound annual growth of 15% to 20%, far exceeding the growth rates of Simon’s branches in other markets. The sales growth rate in China is the highest in the Simon global market. So far, the sales volume in the Chinese market has already accounted for 20% of Simon’s global sales,” he said, adding that actively participating in such influential exhibitions as the China International Import Expo demonstrates Simon’s confidence in the Chinese market.

“In the next five to ten years, Simon will continue to increase investment in the Chinese market. As more and more of our products coming to China, I believe our sales in the Chinese market will grow faster. Our current sales in the Chinese market has reached more than one billion yuan, and are expected to stand at three billion to five billion yuan within the next three to five years,” said Zhang.

The exhibition area of Simon’s booth at the first CIIE is about 100 square meters. The entire display design will be completed in Europe.
