Fighting against COVID-19 | Service companies leverage strengths to help maintain city’s function Release date: 2022-05-13 Source:Multiple
Editor's Note: As China has been experiencing a surge in locally transmitted COVID-19 cases over the past few weeks, governments and organizations have all been doing their part to contain the outbreak. Even exhibitors of the China International Import Expo have joined the fight.
Companies that had participated in the trade in services exhibition area of the annual China International Import Expo have used their expertise in logistics and management to help Shanghai contain the latest COVID-19 outbreak.
US delivery service provider FedEx has been working to ensure smooth supply chain operations in Shanghai and help its clients resume production. The company has also taken steps to ensure that air freighters can depart and arrive on time despite the lockdown.
In addition, FedEx staff members have delivered daily necessities to about 79,000 residents at 73 communities in Changning district of the city.
Savills, a British real estate services company which manages over 140 million square meters of properties in China, has been offering Shanghai residents with efficient and professional services, including disinfecting and distributing supplies as well as conducting mass COVID-19 testing.
Hong Kong-based Fung Group has cooperated with Leefeod, a property management company, to transport more than 300 boxes of anti-epidemic materials, including protective suits, face shields and antigen test kits, from Suzhou in Jiangsu province to Shanghai's Minhang district.
