A number of cosmetics multinationals, including L'Oreal and Kao, will participate in this year's China International Import Expo for the fifth consecutive time and display a variety of new products.

French beauty company L'Oreal will bring three new products – the AbsolueDual-LED Youth Treatment by Lancome, and the YSL Scent-Sation, a headset that leverages neuroscience to provide personalized fragrance advice, and Colorsonic, an at-home hair coloring device – at the fifth expo. All three products will make their Asia debut.

During the fourth CIIE, L'Oreal launched the YSL Rouge Sur Mesure, an artificial intelligence-powered lipstick printer, which has since become highly popular among Chinese consumers.

Amorepacific, a South Korean cosmetics company, will showcase its state-of-the-art technologies and breakthroughs in product efficacy research, customization, and sustainable development at this year's expo.

The company, which has been in China for 30 years, expanded the area of its booth at the CIIE from 270 square meters to 504 sq m during the past four expos. The number and variety of its exhibits have also been increasing over the years.

Meanwhile, Japanese company Kao will debut at the fifth CIIE a new color Liese bubble hair dye, which will also be available online at the same time. Visitors can watch the dyeing process at Kao's booth during the expo.
