Firsts of 5th CIIE: State-of-the-art products debut Release date: 2022-11-06    Source:Multiple

The China International Import Expo, which foreign companies consider as one of the world's best platforms to release new products, technologies and services, is underway in Shanghai for the fifth time from Nov 5 to 10.

The following are making their debut at the fifth CIIE.

A myriad of food, including black diamond pineapples from the Philippines and organic bananas from Ecuador, plan to make their Asian and Chinese debut at the expo, according to the organizers.

New Zealand dairy brand Theland is expected to launch their new product – A2 pure milk packed with plant-based materials – which will be promoted in the Chinese market after the expo.

International Food Corporation A/S plan to release four new products at the expo, as well as some customized for Chinese consumers.

Jiang Lei, president of IFC A/S China, said that CIIE has not only enabled the company to establish a partnership with Chinese dealers, but also to gain the opportunity to cooperate with all kinds of high-quality enterprises around the world.

Automobile companies, including Volkswagen and Mobis, are bringing multiple concept car debuts to the fifth CIIE.

Volkswagen has launched a series of vehicles at the expo since its inaugural edition. The German automaker debuted the e-tron, Audi's first fully electric car, at the inaugural CIIE in 2018 and unveiled its first suite of ID. family pure electric cars in China at the third CIIE in 2020. This year, it is bringing the Asian debut of Porsche's Mission R concept car.

Representatives of South Korean automobile company Mobis, which participated in the CIIE twice before, said that the expo is an effective platform to enhance the brand's exposure and influence. It is launching a variety of cutting-edge products and technologies in the field of future mobility at this year's expo.

PeroPure, a start-up that entered the Chinese market in 2020, is launching a disinfection robot at this year's CIIE. The hydrogen peroxide disinfectant employed by the machine can be prepared using only electricity and tap water based on the latest technologies developed by Stanford University in the United States.

Omron, which is a five-time CIIE participant, is unveiling the seventh edition of the robot table tennis tutor Forpheus, as well as a number of health management equipment, including night wrist sphygmomanometer and atrial fibrillation sphygmomanometer, at this year's expo.

Xu Jian, president and chief executive officer of Omron China, said that the company hopes to make the best of the CIIE to further support China's digital and green development, intelligent manufacturing sector, as well as its elderly care system.
