China to expand imports of high-quality Finnish products, technologies Release date: 2025-05-09 Source:CGTN
China's Ministry of Commerce has said the country is willing to expand imports of high-quality Finnish products and technologies while exploring deeper cooperation in areas such as digital economy and green transformation.
China's Vice Commerce Minister and Deputy China International Trade Representative Ling Ji recently met with Finland's Under-Secretary of State for International Trade Jarno Syrjala. The two sides exchanged views on various issues, including China-Finland and China-EU economic and trade relations.
Ling said China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Finland through mechanisms such as the China-Finland Joint Economic Committee Meeting and the China-Finland Committee for Innovative Business Cooperation.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Finland as well as the 50th anniversary of China-EU relations.
Ling emphasized that both sides should strengthen policy communication, deepen practical cooperation and jointly safeguard the multilateral trading system with the World Trade Organization at its core. They should also oppose unilateralism and protectionism, injecting more certainty and positive energy into the world economy.
