A supply and demand matching session Held in Harbin for the Upcoming Eighth CIIE Release date: 2025-06-12    Source:China International Import Expo Bureau

A supply and demand matching session was held in Harbin, Heilongjiang province for the upcoming eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) on June 10, attracting 19 exhibitors to build ties with over 170 local buyers. The exhibitors included Alcon, NIPPON PAINT, The Brother Group, Nilfisk, Nobel Bearing, Estech, Fonterra, Melaleuca, Goodfarmer, Joy Wing Mau (Chile), Secco International, La encina seleccion S.L, Yisanwen, Zealong, O:TU Wine, BACCHUS TECHNOLOGY GROUP(KUERSI), Noumi, DHL, Sumitomo Corporation, and EGO.

Ge Hong, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said at the event that preparation for the eighth CIIE has been in smooth progress with over 280,000 square meters of the Corporate Pavilion already booked. The exhibition will feature enriched content, with the exhibition areas and special sections seeing improved layouts. The exhibition will also see upgrades to the artificial intelligence (AI) experience zone, the creation of the future mobility special section, as well as more focus on emerging sectors such as the low-altitude economy. The CIIE will make more efforts to improve the usefulness of matchmaking through major supply and demand matching sessions, buyer selection events and the "Buyer's Corner", as well as will provide more professional services to meet the various demands of exhibitors, buyers, and trade missions. Ge encouraged Heilongjiang-based enterprises to participate in the CIIE for more opportunities and shared benefits.

Xing Yingna, deputy director general of Heilongjiang Province Department of Commerce, said that Heilongjiang will organize more local enterprises to join the CIIE and to bring more premium products from around the world to the province.

Wang Hong, deputy director of the Administrative Commission of the Harbin High and New Technology Industry Development Zone, said that the development zone will take the CIIE as a great opportunity to build ties with partners from other parts of China and around the world, and advance its efforts for coordinated regional development and open cooperation.

According to Liu Rui, chief expert from the International Banking Department of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), as a comprehensive partner of the CIIE, ICBC will make good use of its global network to provide high-quality products and services for the upcoming eighth CIIE, thus supporting participants and contributing to the continued success of the event.

At the event, the CIIE Bureau signed memorandums of cooperation with four major buyers: Daxing'anling Forestry Group, Heilongjiang Wondersun Dairy Co, Ltd, Laodingfeng Food, and Bei Huo Lang.

Participants at the event network, making connections for future cooperations

Representatives from exhibitors of the Medical Equipment and Healthcare Products Exhibition Area, Intelligent Industry & Information Technology Exhibition Area, Food and Agricultural Products Exhibition Area visited the Shenzhen-Harbin Industrial Park of Harbin High and New Technology Industry Development Zone and Harbin Limin Economic and Technological Development Zone to communicate and connect with relevant companies.

An official from China Eastern Airlines introduced travel services for the CIIE. Also present at the event were Hao Songyan, deputy general manager of ICBC Heilongjiang Branch, and Jiao Huiying, president of Heilongjiang Digital Commerce Association. The event was co-hosted by the CIIE Bureau, Heilongjiang Province Department of Commerce, ICBC Heilongjiang Branch, and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
