Promotional activities for the eighth CIIE took place in Paris Release date: 2025-06-27    Source:China International Import Expo Bureau

From June 22 to 24, Wu Zhengping, executive director-general of China International Import Expo Bureau and chairman of the Board of National Exhibition & Convention Center (NECC) (Shanghai), led a working team to Paris to hold promotional activities for the upcoming eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) in cooperation with L'Oréal S.A., LVMH, Business France, European Artistes Association, and other organizations.

At a business roundtable held with Fondation Prospective & Innovation (FPI), Wu Zhengping said that trade and economic cooperation between China and France has been expanding, with the CIIE bringing an increasing number of premium French products to Chinese consumers. France has always been a major partner for the CIIE and Wu welcomes more French companies to come to the expo. FPI director general Emmanuelle PÉRÈS noted that France and China have had close exchanges with the CIIE playing a pivotal role. The FPI will continue to encourage more French companies to join the CIIE. Present at the event were senior executives of Kering Group, Vivendi, LVMH, Richemont, and Camus.

Didier Boulogne, chief operating officer of the Export Division of Business France, stated that France attaches great importance to the Chinese market due to Chinese consumers providing French enterprises with an abundance of new opportunities. France will once again be present in the Country Pavilion of the eighth CIIE and more French companies are expected to bring new, high-quality and sustainable products to the Corporate Pavilion.

According to Jean-Paul Agon, chairman of the Board of Directors at L'Oréal, the group has been present at all previous editions of the CIIE. In addition to participating in all seven previous editions, L'Oréal now serves as Chair of the Exhibitor Alliance and a diamond member of the Hongqiao International Economic Forum. The beauty company has been working to bring more new products and cosmetic technologies to China through the CIIE, which serves as a global platform for launching new products and innovations.

Marc-Antoine Jamet, general secretary of the LVMH, emphasized that China is a very important market for LVMH and the group hopes to further expand its presence and brand influence in China through continued presence at the CIIE.

While in France, the CIIE working team signed memoranda of cooperation with European Artistes Association, Cercle de Commerce de Shandong en France, and the French International Wine, Organic Wine & Spirits Awards (FIWA).

The working team received strong support from Bank of China, a CIIE strategic partner, which sent officials from both its headquarter and Paris Branch to attend relevant meetings.
