Buyer invitation roadshow for the eighth CIIE held in Shanghai Release date: 2025-07-09 Source:China International Import Expo Bureau
The pre-expo supply demand matchmaking meeting for the Consumer Goods exhibition area, the Trade in Services exhibition area and buyers’ invitation roadshow for the eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held on July 8 in Shanghai. The event attracted 37 exhibitors from the Consumer Goods exhibition area such as IKEA, BWT, Tempur, Johnson Health Tech, LAMY, and Mootaa. The gathering also saw 18 corporations from the Trade in Services exhibition area including HSBC Holdings plc, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Standard Chartered Bank, UPS, DSV, DHL, MSC, Forvis Mazars, Akkon, Yusen Logistics, SGS, and TÜV Austria, with over 100 buyers also in attendance.

Ge Hong, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said that the eighth CIIE will be held during Nov 5 to 10 in Shanghai. Overseas enterprises are actively participating in exhibitions, with contracted exhibition space for the Corporate Pavilion exceeding 300,000 square meters. Organization work for trade missions is progressing in an orderly manner. Registration for professional visitors is now fully open, and applications for side events are being accepted. Targeted buyer recruitment and supply-demand matchmaking continue to be strengthened. During the expo, services including visit facilitation, business negotiation, and contract signing will be further enhanced to provide exhibitors and buyers with an improved experience. The Shanghai Trading Delegation is urged to intensify its organizational efforts, widely mobilize more professional visitors from sectors such as industry and information technology, education, and healthcare to attend the CIIE, aiming to achieve greater outcomes.

During the roadshow, the CIIE Bureau signed memorandums of cooperation with VIP buyer Shanghai Dewu Information Group Co Ltd.
Exhibitors presented a range of innovative products and service trade solutions at the venue. Participants noted that the event provided an excellent platform for industry discussions and networking opportunities, helping businesses explore new markets and establish partnerships.
The event was hosted by the CIIE Bureau, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), and Bank of China Shanghai Branch.
