Promotional event for the eighth CIIE held in Morocco Release date: 2025-07-18 Source:China International Import Expo Bureau
On July 16, a symposium was held in Casablanca, Morocco, for the upcoming eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE).

Ning Feng, president of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), said that the CIIE has been held successfully for seven years, serving as a significant initiative that demonstrates China’s firm support for trade liberalization and economic globalization. Preparations for the eighth CIIE are now in full swing, with contracted exhibition space exceeding 300,000 square meters. He welcomed Moroccan enterprises and institutions to participate in the expo, share development opportunities, and benefit from China’s vast market.

El Mehdi El Alami, director of promotion and development of Morocco Foodex, expressed that the CIIE is an open platform for the world and an international public good that is shared globally. It has played a vital role in helping Moroccan small and medium-sized enterprises explore the Chinese market. Morocco looks forward to working hand in hand with the CIIE to facilitate and organize more Moroccan enterprises to participate in the expo and share in its opportunities.
Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development noted that its participation in the CIIE’s Country Pavilion had yielded positive results, strengthening its confidence in continued involvement. Representatives from Morocco’s nine national institutions expressed eagerness to access and expand their presence in the Chinese market through the CIIE platform.

During the event, the CIIE Bureau signed a memorandum of cooperation with Morocco’s Foodex for the eighth CIIE. The CIIE working team provided a detailed introduction on the expo’s achievements and the features of its various sections. Enterprises attending the event responded enthusiastically, actively expressing their willingness to exhibit at this year’s expo.
The symposium was supported by the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office of Chinese embassy in Morocco, Morocco Foodex, and Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development.
