Buyer recruitment roadshow held in Changsha Release date: 2025-07-24    Source:China International Import Expo Bureau

A buyer recruitment roadshow for the eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held in Changsha, Hunan Province, on July 22. The event attracted nine Fortune 500 companies and leading industrial players worldwide among 17 exhibitors, namely Mitsubishi Electric, Nippon, Signify, Sumec, Nilfisk, IKEA, Tempur, OUJI, WINZA, Rex Opal Jewellery, Alpine Pashmina, Village Carpet Dealers, Standard Chartered Bank, DHL, EFC, Scan Global Logistics and EGO. Nearly 150 local buyers joined the roadshow, establishing ties and laying foundation for future cooperation.

Li Guoqing, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said that preparations for the eighth CIIE are steadily advancing. The Corporate Pavilion will further optimize its layout of exhibition zones and special sections, supporting the integration of technological innovation and industrial upgrading. The CIIE Bureau will invite more industry-specific professional buyers to participate in procurement negotiations, deepen multi-scenario supply-demand matchmaking, enhance participants' sense of gain, and amplify the expo's spillover effects. Support will be provided for local authorities to host side events and people-to-people exchange activities. Activities themed on food, quality products and arts will also be organized during the expo. He invited enterprises and business people from Hunan to gather in Shanghai this autumn for the CIIE once again.

During the event, the CIIE Bureau signed memorandums of cooperation with VIP buyers Hunan Gaoqiao Grand Market Joint Stock Co Ltd, Yiyang Changying Trading Co Ltd, and Hongxing Industrial Group Co Ltd.

The roadshow was hosted by the CIIE Bureau, Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), with support from Bank of China Hunan Branch.

After the event, representatives from the exhibitors visited the China-Africa Economic and Trade Headquarters Building to explore local business environment and business opportunities.
