1. Registration Schedule
Q: When is the media registration open?
A: Media registration for the 8th CIIE China International Import Expo (CIIE) opens on September 24 and closes on October 14.
Q: How long does the review process take?
A: For domestic applicants, the review takes approximately 7 days. For overseas applicants, the review takes approximately 15 days.
2.Registration Methods and Rules
Q: How can media register?
A: You can log in to the CIIE media registration website (https://www.ciie.org/media/f/user/login) or scan the QR code on the official CIIE website to download the official App for registration or login.
Q: What if my previous account is no longer valid due to expired email or ID binding?
A: Each ID number can only be used to apply for one type of pass and bind to one account in the CIIE system.
·If you have already applied for another pass (e.g., Professional Visitor Pass), you must cancel it before applying for a Media Pass.
·If you previously registered, your information is retained. You can log in with your old account (usually your mobile number or email) and resubmit your application.
·If you register with a new email but use the same ID number, the system will flag it as already in use and block submission.
In this case, please email media@ciie.org to delete one of the accounts.
Q: What materials are required for registration?
A: The sign-up interface will guide you to upload the required materials, such as ID card (passport), press card, and organization license, to facilitate the review and approval process.
3. Pass Status
Q: How can I check the review status?
A: The result will be notified via email or SMS, and detailed status can be checked on the personal page of the media registration website.
4. Pass Collection
Q: Where can I collect my media pass?
A: Registered journalists staying at designated media hotels may collect passes at the hotel's CIIE Sub Media Center.
Registered journalists not staying at designated media hotels collect passes at the Lotus Hall, 1st floor, Radisson Collection Hotel, Yangtze Shanghai (No.2099 West Yan'an Road, Changning District).
5. Replacement of Lost Passes
Q: How to replace a lost media pass?
A: Online Application
·Log in to the official CIIE mobile app or mini program.
·Complete real-name authentication and bind your original pass.
·Select "Online Reissuance", provide the reason, confirm your identity, and complete the payment.
On-site Application
·Visit the Replacement Counter at the Registration and Accreditation Center (1F, The Qube Hotel, Greenland Hongqiao World Center, Lane 1588 Zhu Guang Road, Qingpu District, Shanghai).
·Fill out the Application Form and complete the payment.
Q: How to collect the replacement pass?
A: Once the new pass is ready, bring your notification SMS and valid ID (ID card, passport, etc.) to the same Accreditation Center (1F, The Qube Hotel, Greenland Hongqiao World Center, Lane 1588 Zhu Guang Road, Qingpu District, Shanghai).
6. E-Pass Application and Use
Q: How to apply for an e-pass?
A:
·Media personnel with a valid physical pass can apply for an e-pass via the official CIIE app or mini program.
·Upon approval, an e-pass QR code will be issued for entry into authorized areas.
·Each person may apply up to 3 times during the Expo. Each activation is valid for the entire day with unlimited entries.
Q: Can the e-pass be used to access the Media Center?
A: No, the e-pass does not grant access to the Media Center.
