CIIE promotion events held in Argentina Release date: 2026-03-16 Source:China International Import Expo Bureau
On March 12, a symposium for the ninth China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.
Ge Hong, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said that the CIIE is an important platform for economic and trade cooperation between China and Argentina, and high-quality Argentine products are highly favored by Chinese consumers. The ninth CIIE will mobilize a wide range of buyers and professional visitors to participate, organize various supply-demand matching activities, and build a bridge for high-quality products and services from various countries, including Argentina, to enter the Chinese market. He invited Argentine enterprises to actively participate in the expo, showcase their featured products, and share cooperation opportunities.
Argentine enterprises and institutions attending the event said that the past eight CIIEs have achieved remarkable results, effectively helping Argentine enterprises open up market channels and expand customer resources. A large number of Argentine characteristic food products, such as beef and red wine, have appeared on the dining tables of Chinese consumers. Next, they will fully leverage the important platform of the CIIE, actively mobilize local enterprises, institutions, and business associations to participate, bring high-quality products, and embrace the "CIIE opportunities".

During their stay in Argentina, the working group met with Wang Xiaoxu, Minister-Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Argentina, visited the Expoagro 2026, and held in-depth exchanges with the Argentine Beef Association and the Argentine Investment and Trade Promotion Agency regarding participation in exhibitions and conferences. The Argentine Beef Association, Argentine Investment and Trade Promotion Agency, Argentine Chamber of Commerce for Asia and the Pacific, Argentine-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, CAMARA EMPRESARIAL ARGENTINA CHINA, ICBC Argentina Foundation signed participation contracts or memorandums of cooperation for the ninth CIIE with the CIIE Bureau.
