The China International Import Expo will continue to host a subsection for sporting goods at this year's trade fair, the organizer announced during a meeting on March 3.

Members from the Sports Industry Special Committee of CIIE as well as business representatives from major enterprises attended the meeting which focused on the development of the sports industry.

Liu Fuxue, deputy director-general of CIIE Bureau, said that the CIIE will continue to attract more leading enterprises for sports goods, events and e-sports sectors, and support preparations for the upcoming Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. 

Wang Tingting, vice-president of Decathlon China, said that the annual expo is of great significance to industrial development and the promotion of fitness programs in China.

As the president company of the Sports Industry Special Committee, Decathlon will join hands with exhibitors at the sporting goods subsection in 2021 to promote the development of the fitness industry in China, Wang said.
