CIIE special committee, Shanghai authorities explore building intelligent transportation system Release date: 2022-01-20    Source:China International Import Expo Bureau

The Smart Transportation and New Energy Special Committee of the China International Import Expo Enterprise Alliance and the Shanghai Technical Committee for Standardization of Intelligent Transportation held a seminar on Jan 17 to explore the integrated development of automobile and transportation industries.

Members of the two committees discussed a number of topics with regard to intelligent transportation, such as policies, social responsibilities, international experiences, and future development.

Representatives of companies including Michelin, Volvo, and BMW presented their respective plans for intelligent transportation.

Members of the technical committee, including the Shanghai Motor Vehicle Inspection Certification and Tech Innovation Center and Shanghai International Port Group, contributed suggestions for the second Intelligent Transportation Forum (Shanghai) and the building of an intelligent transportation system.

The first Intelligent Transportation Forum (Shanghai) was held on Nov 7 during the fourth CIIE.

That same day, the CIIE Bureau and the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission signed a memorandum of cooperation to leverage the spillover effects of the expo to speed up the building of an intelligent transportation system in Shanghai.
