Fifth CIIE helps agricultural exhibitors find buyers Release date: 2022-03-07    Source:China International Import Expo Bureau

The China International Import Expo Bureau and the special committee for the agricultural products industry of the CIIE Enterprise Alliance on March 3 held a matchmaking session for agricultural exhibitors of the fifth CIIE, which will take place in Shanghai this November.

Twenty-eight exhibitors and exhibitor organizers such as Cargill, Bunge, Louis Dreyfus Company, Dole, and the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad attended the meeting. A number of purchasers like Alibaba Group's cross-border e-commerce channel Tmall Global, online imported food shopping platform efoodline.com, Shanghai Maling Aquarius Co, and Shuifa Group were also in attendance.

"The matchmaking session is truly worthwhile," said Chen Jiaxi, sales director of Australian food producer Consolidated Pastoral Company. "I have received many business cards from purchasers and many of them expressed clear intentions to cooperate. We will discuss issues like cooperation models and customs clearance later so as to expand our marketing network in China."

The CIIE provides an efficient platform for high-quality agricultural produce from foreign countries to enter the Chinese market, said Liu Fuxue, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, during the meeting.

French yeast manufacturer Lesaffre, which is the current vice-president of the special committee for the agricultural products industry, said the company will continue to promote the development of new products and technologies in agricultural companies to meet Chinese consumers' diverse needs for nutrition and health.
