The first list of exhibitors attending the fifth China International Import Expo, which will take place from Nov 5 to 10 this year in Shanghai, was unveiled on March 21.
The 182 exhibitors and eight national or regional pavilions on the list had signed up for the expo by the end of January and booked comparatively large booths. About half of them are attending the CIIE for the fifth consecutive year.
The fifth CIIE will continue to feature six exhibition areas for food and agricultural products, automobile, intelligent industry and information technology, consumer goods, medical equipment and healthcare products, and trade in services. A number of new subsections for agricultural seed, artificial intelligence and other sectors will also be set up at this year's event.
The CIIE is expecting more overseas companies to showcase their innovations, establish new partnerships and find fresh business opportunities through its platform.
More lists of exhibitors will be released later.
