An online promotional event for the green and intelligent home appliances and furnishings subsection of the fifth China International Import Expo was held on April 27. The expo will take place this November in Shanghai.
The subsection, with a planned area of 10,000 square meters, will be divided into five parts - smart home, kitchen items, cleaning supplies, living room and bedroom sets, as well as entertainment devices, said Liu Fuxue, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau.
Christof Jaeger, an executive at BSH Home Appliances China, which holds the current presidency of the green and intelligent home appliances and furnishings special committee of the CIIE Enterprise Alliance, said the company and other members of the special committee will showcase green, innovative and advanced products at the fifth CIIE that will offer Chinese families a healthy and intelligent life as well as bolster the sustainable and high-quality development of the industry.
Representatives from Karcher, SYR, and IQAir talked about the benefits they reaped from participating in the CIIE, such as more market opportunities and brand exposure. The three companies are all members of the special committee, which was established last April.
