Hongqiao forum highlights Jiangxi's digital economy Release date: 2022-07-28    Source:China International Import Expo Bureau

A special session of the Hongqiao International Economic Forum themed on the challenges and opportunities in the digital economy of East China's Jiangxi province was held in Nanchang, the capital of Jiangxi, on July 23.

About 200 people, including exhibitors of the China International Import Expo, representatives from members of the Hongqiao forum, companies and research institutes in Jiangxi, as well as officials at the Ministry of Commerce and Jiangxi provincial government, attended the event.

Sheng Qiuping, vice-minister of commerce, said in his speech that the ministry will make efforts to build a unified domestic market and share it with the world, improve the business environment and services for market entities, and maintain a multilateral trading system, to push ahead with high-level opening-up.

Industry experts and scholars, including professors from Jiangxi Normal University and Zhejiang University and the deputy chief engineer at the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, discussed issues such as Jiangxi's digital economy development and digital trade rules during the forum.
