An online roadshow to attract purchasers to the fruit exhibition of the fifth China International Import Expo was held on Aug 2.

Exhibitors from the food and agricultural products exhibition area, including Dole, Goodfarmer, and JWM, presented their exhibits, while more than 100 purchasers, including Pagoda, Fruit-mate, and Golden Orchard, shared their procurement plans.

Staff of the CIIE Bureau spoke to attendees about the highlights of the food and agricultural products exhibition area, the registration process for purchasers, and the progress of preparations for the fifth CIIE.

A report on China's fruit imports and exports was also released during the event.

According to Yu Shiwei, deputy head of International Business Daily, China is the world's largest fruit producer, consumer and trader.

The fruit market in China has great growth potential and is full of business opportunities, said Lu Fangxiao, president of the China Fruit Marketing Association.
