Zara, one of the world's leading fashion brands under Inditex, will debut its own booth at the fifth China International Import Expo instead of exhibiting its products within the Inditex pavilion.
Zara will showcase its passion for fashion at the fair and continue to offer high-quality products and experiences to Chinese customers, said Eva Serrano, president of Inditex Greater China.
Zara opened its first China store in 2004 in Hong Kong and has since expanded its business to more Chinese cities, including Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Guangzhou, over the last 18 years.
Serrano added that the fifth CIIE will be a good platform for the company to further connect with visitors and other exhibitors.
Inditex will attend this year's CIIE for the third consecutive time. During the fourth edition in 2021, the group set up a 544-square-meter pavilion that featured many of its brands, including Zara, Massimo Dutti, and Oysho, in the consumer goods exhibition area. The pavilion was centered on fashion, technology, sustainability and social responsibility and embodied the company's vision of green and low-carbon development.
