A CIIE work group visited local enterprises and organizations in Sao Paulo, Brazil on July 6-7 local time to promote the sixth China International Import Expo and attract more exhibitors from the country.

The group met with local associations including the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) and the Federation of Industries of the State of Sao Paulo, as well as companies such as JBS S.A. and 3corações Group.

During meetings, staff members of the CIIE work group provided attendees with updates on the preparation of the business exhibition and Hongqiao International Economic Forum, both important parts of the annual CIIE.

The work group expressed hope that more Brazilian agricultural products, mineral products, jewelry, artworks, as well as competitive industries will enter the Chinese market through the expo.

The China Trade Center Group, which promotes trade, technological and cultural cooperation between China and Brazil, and Invest SP, the investment promotion agency of Sao Paulo, signed memorandums of cooperation with the work group.

The work group also visited the Chinese Consulate General in Sao Paulo and exchanged their views on the role of the CIIE in promoting bilateral trade between China and Brazil.
