The sixth China International Import Expo held a supply-demand matchmaking session for the intelligent industry and information technology and automobile exhibition areas in the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), the venue for the annual CIIE, on Aug 8.

The event was the third pre-expo supply-demand matchmaking session for the sixth CIIE and was aimed at providing a platform for exhibitors and buyers to find more trade and cooperation opportunities.

Nearly 100 State-owned enterprises, industrial leaders, and colleges, as well as 47 exhibitors, including General Electric, Otis, Bosch, and Mobis, attended the event. Some of the exhibitors showcased their advanced technologies and equipment at the event.

Sun Chenghai, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said at the event that the registration for professional visitors and applications to hold supporting activities at this year's expo have been launched, and that roadshows for attracting buyers are also underway.

Moving forward, the CIIE Bureau and the NECC (Shanghai) will continue to organize pre-expo supply-demand matchmaking events and roadshows to attract more professional buyers to participate in this year's expo, said Sun.
