Elekta views the CIIE as one of the most important expos in the world. Since its debut at the inaugural CIIE in 2018, where it was the only exhibitor from the radiation therapy industry, the company has been leveraging the platform to accelerate the implementation of its intelligent and precision radiotherapy treatment in China.
The comprehensive media coverage of the CIIE has also enhanced Elekta's brand exposure and market influence, enabling the company to seize more opportunities in the Chinese market and deepen its presence in China.
In 2018, the company established Elekta (China) Investment Co Ltd and set up its regional headquarters in Shanghai. Elekta's largest global research and production facility and second-largest global software research center are located in Beijing and Shanghai respectively.
Earlier this year, Elekta established a radiation therapy services joint venture by teaming up with the China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation (Sinopharm). It has also initiated a strategic collaboration with the International Health Exchange and Cooperation Center of China's National Health Commission.
