PeroPure Technology made a splash at the fifth China International Import Expo when it unveiled its A02 portable car air sterilization equipment and received a flurry of orders.

This year, the tech company is gearing up to introduce its smart agriculture brand at the forthcoming sixth CIIE.

"The CIIE not only broadens our outreach in the cleaning, disinfection, and hygiene sectors but also offers our products an opportunity to 'speak' to potential users," said Chen Zhihua, the company's co-founder and chief executive officer, referring to the fact that people can experience products firsthand at the annual expo.

Before PeroPure's CIIE debut, the company's annual revenue hovered around a modest 500,000 to 600,000 yuan ($68,430 to $82,120). At the fifth CIIE in 2022, the company was able to secure a 1-million-yuan deal with Xiangdao Chuxing, among others. By the end of that year, the company's sales soared to 10 million yuan.

A chance meeting with the Mongolian ambassadorial delegation at the expo also led to PeroPure's products being integrated into Mongolia's National Center for Maternal and Child Health in Ulaanbaatar at the end of that same year.

PeroPure has benefitted from the CIIE not only in terms of immediate transactions. At the fourth edition of the expo in 2021, the company received an inquiry from a scholar at the Chongqing Academy of Animal Sciences and this created a new avenue for research.

The question, which was about the applicability of PeroPure's electrochemical tech in animal health, led to PeroPure collaborating with the institute in September 2022. The result was a slew of smart breeding solutions that involve the application of electrochemical tech in animal husbandry. Pilot projects featuring these solutions are currently in motion.

To Chen, the CIIE is a confluence of the present and the future. While immediate orders and collaborations are eventual outcomes, the real value lies in the unseen transformations and the endless possibilities the expo brings.

"It's not just about the sales," Chen said. "It's about envisioning and realizing a future full of promise."
