Addressing the event, Chinese Ambassador to Zimbabwe Zhou Ding said that in recent years, platforms such as the CIIE have provided opportunities for African countries to showcase their high-quality products to Chinese consumers and enter the Chinese market.

He highlighted the great popularity of Zimbabwe's national pavilion and activities during the sixth edition of the CIIE last year.

He expressed the hope that Zimbabwe would continue to leverage the CIIE to exhibit its high-quality products, explore the opportunities of the vast Chinese market, and further promote cooperation and exchanges in economic and trade fields, thereby deepening the friendship between the two nations.

Yu Zirong, vice-chairman of the Hongqiao International Economic Forum Research Center and vice-president of the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, said that the Hongqiao forum has successfully held six sessions, becoming an international platform for high-level dialogue and exchanges.

Yu expressed the hope that more friends from Zimbabwe and other African nations will participate in the forum to deepen understanding of China and further promote Sino-African cooperation and exchanges.

Representatives from the Zimbabwean government and business associations said that the CIIE serves as a testament to China's open market and its efforts to drive cooperation.
