The China International Import Expo in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, one of a series of local investment promotional events for the CIIE held this year, kicked off on July 4.

The event featured meetings between representatives from the Ministry of Commerce, autonomous region leadership, and business delegates, as well as themed promotion conferences, specialized industry matchmaking sessions, and on-site visits.

Additionally, the launch of the exhibitor recruitment and the signing ceremony for the eighth CIIE were held during the event.

Focusing on key sectors outlined by Guangxi, such as the industries of electronic information, green chemicals and new materials, automotive and equipment manufacturing, the event invited a total of 110 foreign companies and investment promotion agencies to participate, with 73 of them being Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders.

Nearly 200 organizations from Guangxi participated in the matchmaking sessions of the event, including relevant municipal authorities, industrial parks, and industry regulatory authorities, as well as local companies.

During on-site visits, representatives from foreign companies visited cities of Nanning, Liuzhou, Qinzhou, Fangchenggang, and Chongzuo based on their matchmaking interests to gain in-depth insights into the industrial layout and exchange investment experiences.
