The Second Organization Meeting of the Eighth HQF Convened Release date: 2025-09-30 Source:China International Import Expo Bureau
The preparations for the 8th Hongqiao International Economic Forum (hereinafter referred to as the HQF) have entered its final stage. To further enhance the quality of the Forum’s organization, share updates on the key highlights, structural arrangements and progress, and strengthen coordination of on-site services, on September 26th, the HQF Secretariat and the HQF Research Center convened the second organization meeting of the 8th HQF at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).

During the meeting, Song Shangzhe from the China International Import Expo Bureau and the HQF Secretariat delivered remarks. The Secretariat presented key highlights of the upcmoing Forum.
Representatives of parallel sessions co-hosts and co-organizers, including the Press Conference on World Openness Report 2025 & International Symposium on World Opening-Up, as well as sessions on Open Trade and Security-based Development, High-Quality Development of Artificial Intelligence Industry, Cooperation in Humanoid Robotics Innovation and Development, and International Cooperation in AI Standards for Empowering Industrial Upgrades, introduced the featured content and expected outcomes of their respective events.
Approximately 100 participants attended, including representatives from UN agencies in China, relevant departments of ministries such as the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), and the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), local commerce authorities from Shanghai, Zhejiang Province, and other regions, as well as member enterprises, think tanks, and media partners of the HQF.

HQF is held in tandem with the CIIE. Under the theme of “Opening Up for New Opportunities, Collaborating for a Shared Future”, the 8th HQF features the Main Forum (the opening ceremony of the CIIE and HQF), and parallel sessions under “1+4” sections, i.e. the Press Release and International Symposium onWorld Openness Report 2025 and parallel sessions and other activities under Opening-up for Cooperation, Opening-up for Innovation, Opening-up for Development and Opening-up for Sharing. Opening-up for Cooperation will further focus on “Reinvigorating Multilateral Cooperation.” Opening-up for Innovation will further focus on “Digital Intelligence Empowerment.” Opening-up for Development will further focus on “Green and Sustainable Development.” Opening-up for Sharing will further focus on “A More Open and Inclusive China.”
