HQF Warming-Up丨Finance Bridges Global Trade Opportunities Release date: 2025-10-25    Source:China International Import Expo Bureau

The "Propelling Global Economic and Trade Development through Finance" parallel session of the 8th Hongqiao International Economic Forum will be held on the afternoon of November 5 in Hall 4.2 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). This parallel session will convene global expertise to discuss how finance can better empower global economic and trade activities, contributing financial strength to building an open world economy.

Against the backdrop of profound transformations in the global economic landscape, finance, as the lifeblood of the modern economy, plays an increasingly prominent role in promoting trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, ensuring stable and smooth industrial and supply chains, and supporting the development of new business forms and models. This parallel session will delve into new opportunities and challenges in financial cooperation, exploring new approaches and solutions to facilitate global economic and trade development.

The forum is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, and organized by Bank of China and China Economic Information Service. Experts from government, enterprises, academia, and research institutions will discuss new trends in financial development, new opportunities and challenges in global trade, and pathways for finance to support global economic and trade development, aiming to provide better support for high-quality development of the global economy and trade.

Agenda of the forum include: Opening Remarks, Special Guest Speech Session, Signing Session, Keynote Speeches, and Panel Discussion.
