HQF Preview | The 9ᵗʰ HQF Parallel Session on “Cross-Border Financial Services Driving Globalized Corporate Development” Release date: 2026-10-24 Source:CIIE
The parallel session on “Cross-Border Financial Services Driving Globalized Corporate Development” of the 9ᵗʰ HongQiao Forum is scheduled to take place on the afternoon of November 6, 2026, at 4.2 Hall D2 National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). It is hosted by Bank of Communications (BOCOM).
The global economic and trade landscape is undergoing profound structural shifts, accompanied by accelerating technological revolution and industrial transformation. Amid these changes, corporate global operating models are evolving. On the one hand, Chinese enterprises are transitioning rapidly from product exports toward overseas direct investment, global production footprints, and integrated international operations. On the other hand, more multinational companies are expanding their presence in China, embedding China more closely into their worldwide industrial chains, supply chains, and innovation networks. As corporate operations expand globally, financial services must keep pace. Cross-border banking is moving away from standalone products and one-off transactions toward holistic platforms covering trade finance, cross-border investment, treasury management, foreign exchange (FX) risk mitigation, and comprehensive services. Channeling financial resources across borders to support Chinese companies going global and foreign companies entering the Chinese market has become an important task of China’s high-standard financial opening-up.
The forum will feature welcome remarks, keynote addresses, landmark announcements, and roundtable discussions. It will convene representatives from government bodies, industry, academia, and professional institutions to address issues including global corporate management, cross-border financial innovation, and supply-chain synergy. Together, participants will explore pathways toward a more robust, secure, and sustainable ecosystem for cross-border financial services.
During the forum, BOCOM will also officially unveil the “BOCOM Global Integrated Service Solution”. Based on the bank’s distinctive capability to combine onshore and offshore services across domestic and foreign currencies, the solution leverages the bank’s domestic and overseas networks, comprehensive financial resources, and international partners. The solution integrates the bank’s global service capabilities and addresses clients’ key demands, including international trade, cross-border investment and financing, global cash management, multi-currency settlements, and FX hedging. The bank is committed to enhancing global resource allocation and collaborative services. Regardless of where clients operate or which BOCOM entity they approach, they will receive seamless and integrated support from BOCOM.
