The parallel session on "Standards Enabling the Integrated Development of Technological and Industrial Innovation" of the 9th HongQiao International Economic Forum (HQF) will be held on the afternoon of November 5, 2026, at 4.2 Hall C2, National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). The parallel session is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the State Administration for Market Regulation of the People's Republic of China (National Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China), and organized by the Shanghai Municipal Administration for Market Regulation, the China National Institute of Standardization, the China Electronics Standardization Institute, and China Quality Press.
At present, a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation is advancing in depth, and the integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation is accelerating. Technological iteration and scenario deployment have imposed higher requirements on standard coordination. As an important bridge connecting the innovation chain and the industrial chain, standards play a crucial supporting role in promoting technological coordination, scenario alignment, and ecosystem co-construction. Deepening international exchanges and cooperation in standardization is of great significance for promoting global innovation synergy and shared industrial prosperity.
This parallel session will invite major international standards organizations, key national standardization bodies, leading industry enterprises, and research institutions to deliver speeches, share case studies, and hold panel discussions on topics such as standards driving the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation, unleashing development momentum through international standards cooperation, and establishing new mechanisms for standards cooperation. It also plans to release outcomes, including a collection of case studies on "soft connectivity" of standards under the Belt and Road Initiative, national standards in foreign language version, a foresight report on frontier fields of standardization, and relevant deliverables on the ethical governance of AI.
The parallel session on "Standards Enabling the Integrated Development of Technological and Industrial Innovation" sincerely invites your attention and participation. Through the HQF platform, we hope to engage in exchanges with international political, business, and academic communities on the development trends of international standardization, deepen international standardization cooperation, and strive to jointly develop and share standards to promote global connectivity.
