The schedule for on-site supporting events at the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was unveiled on Sept 23.
At this year's expo, various bodies and organizations including the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund, the International Trade Centre and China's Ministry of Commerce will host activities such as policy interpretations and international procurement sessions.
Regions and cities, like the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Shanghai city and Jiangsu and Jiangxi provinces will organize exchange activities like procurement negotiations, government-business dialogues and business environment promotions.
Industry associations such as the China General Chamber of Commerce, the China Chamber of Commerce of I/E of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-Products, and the China Communications and Transportation Association will focus on industry hot topics and conduct discussions in relevant fields.
During the expo, large-scale trade and investment matchmaking meetings and VIP buyer selection events will be conducted.
The large-scale trade and investment matchmaking meeting is the expo's largest and longest-held on-site activity. It has provided one-on-one matchmaking services for over 1,000 exhibitors and nearly 10,000 buyers from over 100 countries and regions since it was staged at the first edition.
The VIP buyer selection event will feature six special activities for large retailers, agent distributors, catering companies, supply and marketing cooperatives, cross-border e-commerce and live-streaming e-commerce platforms and new retail channel operators.
Additionally, a buyers' corridor has been introduced for the first time. In this section, around 20 high-quality buyers will showcase their company profiles and purchasing needs throughout the expo, facilitating further discussions and connections between exhibitors and buyers.
