The China International Import Expo (CIIE) brings hope and confidence to the global economy amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Gu Qingyang, an associate professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of the National University of Singapore, made the remarks in a recent interview with Xinhua. The third CIIE lasts from Nov 5 to 10 in Shanghai. Despite restrictions due to virus containment measures, this year's CIIE has attracted 2,600-odd global exhibitors and is expected to welcome 400,000 visitors, making it one of the largest events across the world in 2020.
