Notes on overseas media registration
The fifth China International Import Expo will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, and
we
welcome the participation of overseas media. The following are some helpful points for the media
registration which will be close by September 30.
1. For media professionals coming for the first time, please register on the media registration website
(media.ciie.org), fill in the required information and submit for approval.
2. For those who have registered for the inaugural expo last year, you can sign in with the previous
username and password, update your information and submit the application for this year’s media pass.
3. If you forgot the password, you can reset it by providing the registered email address. Please note
that the username is also your email address.
4. When filling in the registration form, foreign journalists traveling to China should select “foreign
media organizations” in “media organization category” and “foreigners for temporary stay in China” in
the category of “personal information”. For resident foreign journalists in China, please select
“foreign media organizations” in “media organization category” and “foreigners for permanent stay in
China” in “personal information”.
5. When uploading your ID photo, please use Firefox or Google Chrome browser to load the page, and make
sure the photo meets the following requirements:
- -The aspect ratio of the photo should be 3:4, its size no less than 480 x 640 pixels, and its resolution
higher than 80 DPI;
- -The photo should be taken with plain white or blue background and the color of your clothes must be
different from the background;
- -The file must be in JPG format and less than 1 MB.
6. If the photo does not pass, please try resize the photo with the Microsoft Paint or other photo
editor, adjust its horizontal length to 800 pixels, save the photo in JPG format and upload the modified
photo again.
7. Information on how to collect your media pass will be released on the CIIE official website
(www.ciie.org) in due course.
