The specific application process is as follows:
The application unit shall log into the electronic port visa application system to upload application materials and applicant information → The Port Visa Authority will process and review the application in the system → After approval, the applicant unit will receive a notification of payment and payment code → Once the visa fee is paid, the Port Visa Authority will issue the visa and send the visa notification and the electronic visa PDF file → The applicant unit can download the PDF file and send it to the applicant → The applicant presents the electronic visa at the border inspection authority for verification and entry.
The electronic port visa is valid for a single entry only. The entry validity period does not exceed 15 days, and the maximum stay period does not exceed 30 days. Entry is limited to Shanghai ports, but exit is allowed from any open port nationwide.
