The Sixth China International Import Expo
Media Service Information
Dear Respected Journalists,
Hello! The 6th China International Import Expo (referred to as CIIE hereafter) is scheduled to take place from November 5th to November 10th, 2023, at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
We welcome you to register for coverage and reporting of the 6th CIIE. Please follow the instructions provided in the registration notice to submit your information promptly and accurately. After registration, please stay tuned as we will notify you of the registration outcome. The time and method for collecting your press accreditation cards will be communicated in due course. We have established a news center at Building A0 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) to provide media services for registered journalists from November 4th to November 10th. The news center is a home for both domestic and international journalists, and we are committed to providing you with attentive and convenient services to assist you in covering and reporting on the 6th CIIE. We will regularly announce and update various media service information through channels such as the Import Expo official website (www.ciie.org). Please stay tuned for updates, and we welcome your feedback on work requirements and suggestions.

Online News Center
The "Online News Center" primarily disseminates official information about the China International Import Expo. This includes web versions, WeChat, and mini-programs. It provides registered journalists with access to interviewee lists, important announcements, exhibitors and their products, booth activities, accompanying events, media manuals, service support, and more. Additionally, it offers services for downloading related text, images, video content, and materials. After registering as a journalist for the Import Expo, you can access the "Online News Center" web version on the official Import Expo website (www.ciie.org) or use the "China International Import Expo" mini-program to enter the "Online News Center". You can also follow the "Import Expo" WeChat Service Account, scan the QR code below, complete authentication and binding with your mobile number to access interview information.
Media Guidelines
The News Center will provide services for the coverage and reporting work of registered journalists at the Import Expo.
Please visit the designated location during the specified period to collect your media credentials. The time and place for collection will be notified through email and announcements on the Import Expo official website.
Media credentials are strictly for the use of the registered journalist and should not be lent to others.
The News Center offers registered journalists complimentary access to broadcast television signals of the major Import Expo events and provides official news photos.
You can access Import Expo news, service information, and various announcements through the Import Expo official website, the Online News Center, the News Center Information Desk, electronic screens, and other channels.
Throughout the Import Expo, the News Center will establish pickup points at recommended media hotels and organize free shuttle buses that operate at specified times between these hotels and the News Center. Please make use of this shuttle service by presenting your personal media credentials.
Media Credentials
Registered Import Expo journalists can use their own Import Expo media credentials to ride the media shuttle buses, access the News Center, recommended media hotels, and relevant venues at the National Exhibition and Convention Center.
For media journalists who have opted to collect their credentials in person, please obtain your media credentials during the following schedule:

From November 3rd to November 4th, 2023, daily from 08:00 to 22:00.
Credential Collection Location:
Registered journalists staying at recommended media hotels should proceed to the Import Expo News Center located within the hotel premises to collect their media credentials.
For other registered journalists, please collect your media credentials at the following location: Lianhua Hall on the first floor of the Shanghai Yangtze River Li Sheng Boutique Hotel, and the Import Expo News Center (2099 Yan'an West Road, Changning District, Shanghai).Credential Collection Contact:Box FANG: 137 6409 8510.
News Center
The Import Expo News Center is located in Building A0 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), spanning floors 1 to 3 (Address: 1988 Zhuguang Road, Qingpu District, Shanghai, near Gate 8 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center).

News Center Location Diagram
Overview of the Functional Zones in the News Center The News Center is equipped with various functional zones, including the Information Desk, Media Public Work Area, Media Exclusive Work Area, Broadcast Television Technical Service Zone, Interview Rooms, Press Conference Hall, and Media Dining and Leisure Area. Wireless network coverage is available throughout the News Center.
Information Desk Area
On the first floor of the News Center, a comprehensive information desk is established to provide information about important events and press releases related to the Import Expo. It also offers news services, including registration for press conferences, on-site and off-site interview appointment booking, and processing of interview applications. Additionally, the information desk provides information and assistance in both Chinese and English regarding transportation, accommodation, Shanghai city introduction, and tourism information for surrounding areas. Services such as document distribution and lost and found assistance are also available.
On the second floor of the News Center, there is a reservation service office that caters to registered media's needs. This office provides office facilities and equipment, offers interview room rentals, and facilitates bookings for broadcast television technology and transmission communication services. Additionally, an official photo center is available, granting complimentary access to official photo searches, browsing, and downloading services.
Media Public Work Area
On the second floor of the News Center, a Media Public Work Area is established. It includes multiple journalist workstations equipped with multiple internet-connected computers. Each journalist workstation is equipped with digital audio interfaces, network interfaces, and power outlets.
LED large screens and televisions are installed to display public signal images and provide Import Expo-related information.
A document and printing area is established, equipped with office equipment such as fax machines, telephones, printers, photocopiers, and electronic storage lockers.
In the Media Public Work Area, designated live reporting stations are available for journalists to use when appearing on camera.
Media Exclusive Work Area
The News Center includes a Media Exclusive Work Area. These workspaces are equipped with power outlets, broadband internet, public signal, and cable television interfaces. Equipment rental services are available, including telephones, fax machines, printers, computers, and office furniture.
roadcast Television Technical Service Zone
On the second floor of the News Center, there is a Broadcast Television Control Equipment Room and a Control Duty Room established.
Additionally, there are Public Signal Recording Rooms and Satellite Transmission Service Rooms provided, offering services such as public signal recording, satellite transmission, and new media streaming.
Interview Rooms
On the second floor of the News Center, interview rooms are available for rental by media organizations.
Press Conference Halls
On the third floor of the News Center, there are a total of three press conference halls: large, medium, and small.
During the Import Expo, multiple press conference events will be held in these halls.
Media Dining and Leisure Area
On the second floor of the News Center, there is a refreshment area where, during the operational period of the News Center, coffee, tea, and snacks will be available.
Additionally, on the second floor, there is a media restaurant that provides lunch and dinner for journalists.
Medical Room
On the second floor of the News Center, there is a medical room that offers emergency medical services.
Live Reporting Stations and Shared Rest Area
Live Reporting Stations
In the Media Public Work Area, a unilateral live reporting station is strategically placed to facilitate live reporting for journalists.
The National Exhibition and Convention Center offers comprehensive 5G signal coverage. Media professionals can reserve 5G audiovisual signal transmission services through the 'Online News Center' or the 'Booking Office' at the News Center.
Shared Rest Area
Within the exhibition halls of the National Exhibition and Convention Center, multiple shared rest areas are provided. These areas are equipped with amenities such as drinking water, charging facilities, and internet access, allowing registered journalists to take temporary breaks and conduct work as needed.

The News Center Booking Office provides interview rooms, live reporting points, equipment rental, and services related to broadcast television technology and transmission communication for registered media attending the Import Expo.All bookings and rentals are arranged on a first-come, first-served basis.

Reservation and Rental Services Application Process
1. Advance Booking
Registered journalists attending the CIIE can inquire about the content, pricing standards, and application procedures for booking and rental services by contacting the News Center's Booking Office via phone or email. They can also access relevant information and download application forms through the CIIE journalist registration and "Online News Center" systems.
Once the application form is completed, please send it via email to the Booking Office at ibcbooking@ciie.org. The Booking Office will confirm the details and costs of your request within 3 days of receiving the application form.
2. On-Site Booking
During the operational period of the News Center, registered journalists can visit the News Center's Booking Office to make on-site bookings for the required services.
3. Currency and Payment Methods for Settlement
The pricing for News Center reservation and rental services is quoted in Chinese Yuan (RMB). If payment is made in US Dollars, the exchange rate published by the People's Bank of China on the day of payment will be used for conversion to Chinese Yuan (RMB).
The Booking Office accepts payment in cash (Chinese Yuan), credit card payments, or bank transfers.
Official Photography Services
The news center offers registered media a complimentary official photography service. Please apply for these services at the News Center Photo Center.
Wireless Communication Management and Services
During the Expo, organizations or individuals (such as registered journalists) who need to use wireless radio transmission equipment (such as wireless cameras, walkie-talkies, wireless microphones, etc.) in the News Center and the National Exhibition and Convention Center venue areas must apply in advance and complete the relevant procedures with the Shanghai Economic and Information Committee (Shanghai Radio Administration).
Registered journalists are requested to log in to the "Online News Center" to understand the specific regulations, download and complete the "China International Import Expo Radio Frequency Application Form", and submit the application form to the email address: luwq@sheitc.sh.gov.cn.
Press Conference
During the Expo, the News Center will host multiple press conferences in its three press conference halls, covering topics such as expo achievements, products, contracts, and events.
Registered journalists can access information about these press conferences through the “Online News Center” and the bulletin board at the News Center's Information Desk. We welcome your participation.
Interview Services
During the Expo, the News Center will arrange off-site interview routes focusing on Shanghai's latest economic and social developments, with translation services provided for interviews.
The News Center will also launch a series of exclusive interviews titled 'CEOs Speak on the Expo' for both domestic and international journalists. This series invites journalists to interview executives from exhibitor companies at the Expo and offers on-site translation services.
Journalists can sign up for off-site interviews and the exclusive interview series through the Online News Center or the comprehensive information desk on the first floor of the News Center.
Cultural Exhibition and Performance
Book Promotion and Distribution
On the second floor of the News Center, a dedicated area for book promotion and distribution is available. This space offers publications related to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and its practical application in Shanghai, catering to both domestic and foreign journalists. Emphasis is placed on promoting materials that showcase Shanghai's urban development and socioeconomic progress, highlighting the city's image and its remarkable achievements in high-quality development, providing an opportunity to witness the constant and rapid transformations in Shanghai.
Intangible Cultural Heritage Lounge
Crafted in a scenically styled and daily life-inspired manner, the objective is to create an enchanting and modest immersive Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Lounge. This space will showcase Shanghai's traditional arts and distinctive craftsmanship within the realm of intangible cultural heritage, facilitating interactive experiences with a diverse range of projects in this domain. The aim is to present the charm of Shanghai's intangible cultural heritage, offering both domestic and international journalists the opportunity to immerse themselves in the richness of Chinese traditional culture.
Seaside Study Room
The Seaside Study Room combines 'Reading Space', 'Leisure Space', and 'Cultural and Creative Space' to create the News Center's 'Reception Lounge'. Through carefully selected daily book recommendations, an exhibition of over a thousand multilingual books, and a wide range of cultural interactive experiences, both domestic and foreign journalists can savor the elegance of Shanghai's culture and experience the charm of literary culture in an atmosphere filled with the fragrance of ink.
Musical Afternoon Tea
The 'Musical Afternoon Tea', a public welfare initiative by the Shanghai Concert Hall, infuses new vitality into Shanghai's music and cultural brand. Collaborating with outstanding music groups in Shanghai, it presents the mature state of contemporary Chinese stage art in diverse forms. It offers a splendid performance and activities for both domestic and foreign journalists, creating a fresh, immersive musical experience and showcasing the charm of Chinese music culture, as well as the unique urban character of Shanghai.

Hotel Services
We have selected 5 hotels in the Shanghai downtown area and around the National Exhibition and Convention Center as recommended accommodations for the media (accommodation expenses are to be covered by individuals). Free media shuttle services are available between these hotels and the News Center. Each recommended hotel for the media is equipped with a news center extension, providing office facilities such as internet access, computers, printers, and copiers, as well as services including document retrieval, interview consultations, refreshments, medical assistance, taxi reservations, and assistance with booking plane and train tickets.
Once registered, we kindly advise journalists to make early hotel reservations at the recommended media hotels through the booking system (Reservation System: http://ciie.odb.sh.cn/).

Transportation Services
The detailed information about media shuttle station services, bus routes, and timetables will be announced later. Registered journalists can check for updates through the "Online News Center", the News Center's information desk, and the dedicated media center at recommended hotels.
(I) Arrival and Departure Services
1. Airport Pickup Service From November 3rd to 4th, dedicated media reception points will be stationed at both Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport and Hongqiao Railway Station. These points will facilitate the convenience of registered journalists by offering shuttle bus services to the recommended media hotels.
Upon arrival in Shanghai, registered journalists should present their "Check-In Notice" to access the media shuttle bus service to the recommended media hotels. Alternatively, they have the option to use public transportation like airport buses, subways, or taxis to reach the recommended media hotels on their own.
2.Departure Service for Stations and Airports On November 11th, there will be a centralized departure from various recommended media hotels to Hongqiao Railway Station and Hongqiao International Airport.
(II) Media Shuttle Service
During the 6th CIIE, the News Center offers complimentary media shuttle services for registered journalists, shuttling between recommended media hotels and the News Center.
