Notes for Participants
Ⅰ、Admission Process
Guests shall arrive at the designated conference venue at the time mentioned on the agenda.
The guests shall enter and leave the venue, and go to restaurant for lunch or dinner by following the guidance of personnel and volunteers, or the prompts of guide signs.
Ⅱ、Credential for Participation
The guests shall enter the venue wearing the credentials made by the Organizers. The credential will undergo strict check throughout the conference when the guests enter and exit the venue. It is prohibited to lend, scribble on, or alter the credential. In case of any loss, the guest shall contact the Security Department of China International Import Expo Bureau promptly.
Ⅲ、Dress Code
The guests shall attend the conferences in business formal attire. The Organizers are entitled to deny the admission of disheveled guests.
Ⅳ、Venue Code
1. Please do not talk loudly in the venue and maintain a good public order;
2. Please switch your mobile phone to silent or vibrating mode in the venue;
3. Please turn off the flashlights of your mobile phone and camera (except for authorized media personnel) in the venue. Do not use the live photography or video for any commercial purposes;
4. Do not bring the drinks, desserts, fruits and cutlery offered during the tea break into the venue.
Ⅴ、Conference Safety
No guest shall take the controlled items (liquid drinks, controlled knives, non-compliant chemicals, explosives, etc.), professional photographic camera and recording equipment (except for the authorized media personnel) and other prohibited items to the venue.
Ⅵ、Advertising & Publicity
Please understand that it is prohibited to launch any unauthorized advertisement and other commercial publicity at any place of the venue. Otherwise, the Organizers are entitled to terminate the qualifications of any conference participant.
Registration and Credential Issuance
I. Registration Process
The participants of the opening ceremony of the Hongqiao International Economic and Trade Forum and parallel sessions will be invited exclusively by the Organizer.
According to the requirements of the Overall Registration Scheme for the First China International Import Expo, the invited participants shall complete the first registration on the pertinent registration system to receive the registration invitation code from the Organizers. Participants may log in the registration system of “Hongqiao International Economic and Trade Forum” to complete the registration on the website:https://forum.ciie.org by virtue of the invitation code.
The participants may inquire about the review status anytime by virtue of the invitation code. After passing the review, the participants will receive the notification mail to prompt them to log in the Forum registration system to download the letter of confirmation. The participants may receive the credentials and relevant materials of the Forum on strength of the letter of confirmation.
II. Registration Center and Credential Issuance
A registration center near the main venue will be set up by the Organizers to mainly collect the information on application for credentials. The registration center will work with the credential issuance center under public security authority to assist in the application information transfer, feedback of review, and credential transfer. The center will also cooperate with the issuance, re-issuance, and replacement of the credentials with the public security authority.
In case of any loss or damage, the holder shall go to the registration center with his/her own valid ID card or certificate, and fill in the Application Form for Reissuance (Replacement) of CIIE Credential at the expense of RMB 200 per credential. After passing the review, the holder will have his/her credential reissued/replaced.

Venue Facilities and Services
Various necessary functional areas, facilities, and service staff will be available in the main venue for the opening ceremony, and branch venue for the parallel sessions. They are provided for serving the guests. The details of these facilities and services are as follows:
I. Conference and Consulting services
Two conference consulting desks at the main venue and the venue of parallel sessions will be set up to provide information services related to the Forum. There will be staff and volunteers to provide assistance. For further details, please refer to the schematic plan of the function areas of the venue.
II.Simultaneous Interpretation Services
The hosts will provide simultaneous interpretation services in Chinese, English, Russian, and Spanish as well as receiving equipment for simultaneous interpretation and instructions to the guests.
III.Medical Services
The hosts will set up medical service point in Nan’er Hall of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), with professional medical personnel and basic medical emergency equipment and drugs to provide assistance for the guests in need.
IV、Toilets and Facilities for Disabled Person
The hosts will set up multiple bathrooms and facilities for the disabled persons at the main venue and branch venues.

Visa Services

II. Materials Needed for Visa
1. Basic Application Materials
(1) Passport: Original of passport, with validity for more than 6 months and a blank visa page, and 1 hard copy of the passport photo information page.
(2) Form of Application for Visa and photo: 1 copy of the Form of Application for Visa of the People’s Republic of China, and 1 recent, frontal, color (light background), headless, passport photo on the application form.
(3) Legal stay or residence certificate (applicable to visa applicants who are not residing in China): If you do not apply for a visa in China, you should provide the original and photocopy of the valid certificate or valid visa of legal stay, residence, work, and study in the host country.
(4) Original Chinese passport or original Chinese visa (applicable to those who used to be Chinese nationals but now hold foreign nationalities): If you apply for a Chinese visa for the first time, you must provide the original of Chinese passport and a photocopy of the passport photo information page. For those who have applied for a Chinese visa with a new foreign passport, photocopies of the original foreign passport identification page and the Chinese visa once obtained are required. (If the name on the new passport is different from that in the original passport, documents that show the change of name from government or official departments will be required).

Ⅲ、Currency/ Exchange Rate
he statutory currency of the People’s Republic of China is Renminbi (RMB), and the symbol is ¥. The unit is Yuan, and the auxiliary units of Renminbi are Jiao and Fen. 1 Yuan is equal to 10 Jiao, and 1 Jiao is equal to 10 Fen. It is available to inquire about the latest exchange rate at the website of the People’s Bank of China:http://www.pbc.gov.cn/rmyh/108976/index.html. The guests attending the CIIE may wish to exchange the main currencies from ATMs in Shanghai Pudong/ Hongqiao International Airport and major hotels.
Ⅳ、Credit Card
Large hotels, shopping malls, and main restaurants in Shanghai accept major international credit card services such as UnionPay, Visa and Master Card, etc. Some smaller shops and restaurants do not accept credit and debit cards, but accept cash. In addition, most hotels, shops, and restaurants accept the use of Alipay and WeChat Pay, which may be used by downloading the AliPay and WeChat App in advance.
Ⅴ、Water and Electric Power Supply
According to national uniform regulations, the electric power supply standard of Shanghai is 220V, 50Hz. There are two kinds of plugs matching with the power socket, as shown below:
The tap water in Shanghai meets the health certification standards of China and the World Health Organization. The hotel and the conference venue will also provide bottled mineral water to the guests.
Ⅵ、Telecom Service
The guests attending the CIIE can purchase SIM cards from local mobile communication service providers (China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom) at airports, shopping malls, and telecom service stores. Most SIM cards support 2G, 3G and 4G standards.
