Notes on Bidding for Supporting Activities of the Sixth China International Import Expo

I. Main constituents bidding for supporting activities

Participants of the Sixth China International Import Expo can apply to host supporting activities, including central and state organs, international organizations, the participating countries (regions) of the Country Exhibition, Chinese provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, municipalities with independent planning status, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and its relevant authorities, exhibitors, buyers, expo support units, industry organizations, mainstream media, partners of buyer invitation & exhibitor recruitment, and so on.

II. Bidding procedures for various entities

(I) International organizations and participating countries (regions) in the Country Exhibition.

1. Click to download the Bidding Form for Supporting Activities of the Sixth China International Import Expo, and fill it out as required. It shall be stamped with the official seal of the organizer or accompanied by the organizer’s certificate document showing the organizer’s willingness of holding the activity. For an activity jointly sponsored by several organizers, the form shall be stamped with the official seals of all organizers involved or accompanied by their certificate document showing their willingness of jointly holding the activity.

2. Email the Bidding Form for Supporting Activities of the Sixth China International Import Expo (in Excel and a scanned copy of the form) to the Exhibitor Recruitment Office of China International Import Expo Bureau (zhaozhanchu@ciie.org). The Exhibitor Recruitment Office shall fill out the relevant information in the supporting activities information system.

3. Participating countries (regions) and international organizations shall communicate with the Exhibitor Recruitment Office on bidding in a timely manner by phone (+86-21-67008579) or email (zhaozhanchu@ciie.org).

4. The China International Import Expo Bureau will announce a pre-scheduled time for respective bidding according to the actual conditions of various parties.

5. Organizers of activities shall communicate with the China International Import Expo Bureau and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) to discuss specific matters according to the pre-scheduled arrangements of the activities.

6. After the pre-scheduled time of activities is confirmed, the China International Import Expo Bureau will send the accounts and passwords for access to the supporting activities information system via e-mail to organizers and undertakers. They can check and modify the relevant information and help their personnel apply for certificates as required in the system (see “Q & A” in “Activities” for details).

7. The confirmed organizers or undertakers can download the Operation Manual of Supporting Activities Information System after logging into the supporting activities information system to learn system functions and operation steps; they should duly upload and update their activity plans as required in the system.

8. The confirmed organizers of supporting activities held in the venue of the China International Import Expo (the National Exhibition and Convention Center) should contact the center in a timely manner to sign contracts and implement on-site services.

9. The China International Import Expo Bureau will, according to the procedures, issue certificates for relevant personnel of the organizers of supporting activities held in the venue of the China International Import Expo (the National Exhibition and Convention Center) as required. The certificates shall be collected and delivered by the organizers.

(II) Exhibitors.

2. Email the Bidding Form for Supporting Activities of the Sixth China International Import Expo (in Excel and a scanned copy of the form) to the CIIE Department of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) (wyd@ciie.org). The CIIE Department shall fill out activities-related information collected in the supporting activities information system.

3. The exhibition organizers and exhibitors shall communicate with the CIIE Department in a timely manner over bidding-related matters by phone (86-21-59762320) or email (wyd@ciie.org).

4. The China International Import Expo Bureau will announce a pre-scheduled time for respective bidding according to the actual conditions of various parties.

5. Organizers of activities shall communicate with the China International Import Expo Bureau and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) to discuss specific matters according to the pre-scheduled arrangements of the activities.

6. After the pre-scheduled time of activities is confirmed, the China International Import Expo Bureau will send the accounts and passwords for access to the supporting activities information system via e-mail to organizers and undertakers. 9. The China International Import Expo Bureau will, according to the procedures, issue certificates for relevant personnel of the organizers of supporting activities held in the venue of the China International Import Expo (the National Exhibition and Convention Center) as required. The certificates shall be collected and delivered by the organizers.

(III) Provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government, municipalities with independent planning status, the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (as well as regional trade missions) and relevant units under trade missions.

2. Bidding units under provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, municipalities with independent planning status and trade missions of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps shall submit the Bidding Form for Supporting Activities of the Sixth China International Import Expo to the secretariat of the corresponding trade mission in a timely manner. The secretariat of the respective trade mission shall collect the form from each unit.

3. The secretariat of each trade mission shall evaluate and screen out the bidding units regarding their intentions.

4. The secretariat of each trade mission shall log into the backstage of the information system for the trade missions of the China International Import Expo so as to fill out activities-related information as required after evaluation and screening.

5. The China International Import Expo Bureau will announce a pre-scheduled time for respective bidding according to the actual conditions of various parties.

6. Organizers of activities shall communicate with the China International Import Expo Bureau and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) to discuss specific matters according to the pre-scheduled arrangements of the activities.

7. (IV) Central and state organs, central state-owned enterprises, units within the trade mission of the National Health Commission, supporting units of the CIIE, mainstream media, and partners of buyer invitation & exhibitor recruitment.

2. Send the Bidding Form for Supporting Activities of the Sixth China International Import Expo (in Excel as well as with a scanned copy with the seal) to the Buyer Invitation Office of the China International Import Expo Bureau at zsc@ciie.org; please send an email copy to the Secretariat of the Central Enterprise Trade Mission about the activities that the central enterprises have applied for.

3. Please communicate with the Buyer Invitation Office of the China International Import Expo Bureau if the above relevant parties have any questions. Tel.: 021-67008943, 67008944; E-mail: zsc@ciie.org.

4. The China International Import Expo Bureau will announce a pre-scheduled time for respective bidding according to the actual conditions of various parties.

5. Organizers of activities shall communicate with the China International Import Expo Bureau and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) to discuss specific matters according to the pre-scheduled arrangements of the activities.

6.
